Welcome

I was introduced to woodturning in 1990 quite by accident after purchasing my first lathe from an elderly gentleman.  Although basically self taught, through trial and error, I’ve been influenced and guided by fellow members of Magnolia Woodturners, a Mississippi chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.  Once a friend and fellow woodturner stated that woodturning must be boring since one could produce only bowls and spindles.  Little did he know.  The things that can be created on a lathe are only limited by your imagination.  I enjoy exploring the possibilities.

Some ask if this is an art or is it a craft.  I don’t really care, that’s for others to decide.  One thing is for certain, it’s a wonderful pastime and a excellent way to meet some  great people.  Please feel free to visit the other pages of this siteto see some of the things that can be created on the lathe.

I've included some pictures of the lathes and other tools I use
On the "Tools of the Trade" page.

Check out these "Links" to some of my favorite sites.

Special thanks to my "Morale Committee"
in their eyes I can do no wrong.
